Stagecast Creator

Program Overview
Stagecast Creator is a programming language designed to be so easy to use that students of all ages, even nonreaders, can use it. Using visual elements and logic (“if this, then this”) students create simulations (or “worlds”) which develop, demonstrate, and reinforce their understanding.

Classroom Appropriate
Build a simulation of the water cycle, stage an interactive story with moving animations and sound, or program a challenging, animated game (look in the Sample Sims folder on the CD-ROM for more examples). With Stagecast Creator your students will exercise and apply thinking skills, logic skills, and creativity with rewarding and impressive results.

Howard Gardener coined the term “multiple intelligences” to describe what teachers have known for years: that not every student thrives in a “traditional” classroom learning environment. Stagecast Creator provides an alternative that opens up a world for certain students in which the possibilities for learning and expressing knowledge are unlimited.
